“Messy Church” is church…..but not as you remember it.
This is great fun, and a new way for mums, dads, carers and their children to engage with church.
The format is:
3.30 – 3.50pm: Arrival, drinks, time to chat and board games
3.50-4pm: We hold a short celebration which includes a bible story and some active singing!
4-4.50 pm: Crafts. These are all connected to the story and help to remind us of key points in the story. We prepare between 8 and 10 crafts and there is something for every age and ability. Make all 10 or take your time and make something really special.
4.50-5pm: Quick round up, “show and tell” crafts, quick song and “messy grace”.
5-5.30: Tea. This is always a hot dinner (including a veggie option) followed by dessert. Tea is provided for everybody who attends Messy Church, children and adults alike.
All ages are welcome, from toddlers to grannies and granddads. All that we ask is that children under 13 are accompanied by an adult. So put your old clothes on and come along – we’d love to see you!
